I was quoted $2.5k with 10% NCD by AIG..

bro, insurance premium is very individual... it depends on age & how long u've been driving... also if u've own a car before... etc... etc...

No lah.. my insurance for my brand new bravo last year was only $1.5k after 40% NCD.. dun't know why increase so much this time round? is the increase across the board for all vehicles?
