Rally Hokkaido #10 Arai and #11 Kamada won first and second place.

Rally Hokkaido was held in Obihiro, Hokkaido on the 8th and 9th July, 2006. This is a joint event of Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) and All Japan Rally Championship. APRC had entries from Australia, New Zealand, China, and Indonesia adding international colours while heightening the atmosphere of the prelude to Rally Japan.

#10 Toshihiro Arai entered the race with co-driver Tony SIrcombe (Subaru Imprezza WRX STi) of Subaru Rally Team Japan and #11 Takuma Kamada competing in PCWRC, together with Hakaru Ichino (Subaru Imprezza WRX STi) from Team the Engine made entries.

#10 Arai's team was taking the lead by over one minute on leg 1 (First day). On leg 2 (second day) keeping up with the result before, they won the race beautifully. Kamada's team came in Second over Australian Cody CROCKER 's team which claimed the third place. MOTUL Support teams have once again brought glory from the race by taking the first and second place.

SUPER GT Round4 at Sepang international Circuit
#22 MOTUL AUTECH Z scores 2nd place!

Round 4 of the 2006 AUTOBACS SUPER GT series was held at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, in which a motor race staged in searing heat every year. Races are scheduled to the later part of the day to avoid mid day temperature of over 30°C.
The air temperature on the 24th during the qualifying was 27°C with a track temperature of 28°C. These temperatures were considered rather low for Malaysia especially during the dry season. The track conditions during the qualifying session produced the following results:
#22 MOTUL AUTECH Z - 2nd place
#3 Yellow Hat YMS Tomica Z - 7th place
#23 XANAVI NISMO Z - 8th place
#18 TAKATA Dome NSX - 9th place
On the 25th, the temperature climbed to the hottest of the week with the air and track temperatures hitting 33°C and 44°C respectively before the start of the race.
The GT500 class was a battle between #8 ARTA NSX and #22 MOTUL AUTECH Z where the outcome of the race was decided during the pit stop. The decision for #22 to change all 4 tires instead of 2 rears allowed #8 to stretch the lead to 15 seconds.

Close to 50% of the teams endorsed MOTUL as their choice of motor oil at the Suzuka 8-hours Endurance Race.
Coca-Cola Suzuka 8-hours Endurance Road Race, one of FIM 2006 World Endurance Champion Series, was held on July 29th and 30th at Suzuka Circuit in Japan.

39 machines out of total number of 83 entries used MOTUL 300V, hitting the usage rate at a surprising 47% high. 70 bikes entered final and 31 which amounted to almost half (44%) were driven with 300V. This has proven MOTUL's reliability at world highest ranked endurance race under severe mid-summer conditions such as road surface temperature of over 50°C (122°F).

New race set up of WRC SUBARU 2006 and
Toshihiro Arai’s first victory in this season at PCWRC


WRC 2006 (World Rally Championship) commenced its season in January, spanning 16 races over the year with Subaru Impreza WRC 2006 starting its first rally at Monte Carlo this year.
#5 Petter Solberg and #6 Stephane Sarrazin will enter the race this year from Subaru World Rally Team (SWRT).

Impreza’s latest 2 liter flat 4 engine has shed some weight and added various modification and MOTUL engine oil, not only meeting new 2006 regulations but enhancing torque and performance as well.
