Re: Auto Tran's Problems?
wat seems to be your main worry? the Bravo is not only a nice looking car but also reliable. the only problem is not the car but how people handle the car.
the only issue wif MAT (manual assisted transmission) on Bravo is change of gears... most people are so used to full auto transmission thinking MAT is same BUT it isn't. MAT is still essentially a manual gearbox but the ECU helps the driver to change gear when it is rite time to change without the driver having to do so.
a person having so used to full auto would floor the gas pedal will driving auto Bravo but nothing change for a moment. then suddenly the gear change thereby creating a jerking feel... this is why people say FiAT car not gd... that's becos they dun know how to drive it.
here's the tip... if u're ride before a horse, u've got to tame it then slowly get to know it's habit then after u train on the same horse for awhile I'll begin to appreciate its beauty. this is how u ride Italian cars. it's a love-hate kind of relationship ",
if this is your issue, then I suggest u drive full manual to really love Italian cars...
on the tjet engine, this is currently one of FiAT's most successful technology breakthough. I've been driving my Bravo since it was launched in 4yrs ago... I'm still loving it (macdonalds slogan haha",)... no problem whatsoever. FYI, last yr FiAT launched Multiair with Tjet engine... this is another breakthrough on yet another success... meaning more fuel savings ",
do share your doubts or myth u've heard abt FiAT/Bravo...
honestly, between VW Golf & FiAT Bravo my choice was obvious... the latter! if u prefer to wait a little longer... Alfa Romeo Guiletta might be launch here in Sg next yr... it sits on the same platform as the Bravo but overall the design & feel... the Guiletta surpass its parent company's Bravo.
hoped it help... if not PM me ",
cheers & beers!
